Pop star Tate McRae attracted a large crowd of fans to the Kia Forum on Thursday night for an exciting release event for her latest album, “So Close to What.”
Held in the parking lot of the Inglewood arena, the event was a dream come true for McRae super fans. Attendees enjoyed photo opportunities, outfit displays, food trucks, and freebies from sponsors like American Express, Adidas, and Neutrogena.
Fans, many dressed in McRae-inspired attire, had the opportunity to purchase tickets for $8 through Ticketmaster, with all ticket proceeds donated to FireAid to support L.A. wildfire relief efforts. The event was also live-streamed on TikTok for those unable to attend in person.
McRae took the stage at 9 p.m., performing songs from her new album, including her recent single, “Sports car,” and “It’s OK I’m OK.” The 21-year-old singer engaged with the crowd and showcased her new songs under the glow of stage lights.
The singer debuted new tracks like “Revolving Door” and shared that a music video for the song was set to release that night. McRae’s album, centered around the theme of falling in love again, features a collaboration with rapper The Kid LAROI, who is showcased on the album.
Performing a mix of new and popular songs like “Dear God,” “Greenlight,” and “Greedy,” McRae captivated the audience before wrapping up her show.
Tate McRae is gearing up for her “Miss Possessive” tour, which is already sold out with 57 dates worldwide.
