Hulu has recently announced the first key cast members who will be joining the beloved Prison Break series for the upcoming reboot on Fox. This exciting news comes after the pilot order was officially given by the streaming platform in December 2024.
The new members of the Prison Break cast include Emily Browning, known for her roles in Sucker Punch and American Gods, Lukas Gage from Euphoria and White Lotus, and Drake Rodger from The Winchesters. They will be playing significant roles in the reboot, which is being led by Elgin James, co-creator of Mayans M.C. and The Outlaws. While the reboot will feature a standalone story, it will still be set in the same universe as the original Fox series.
Emily Browning will be portraying Cassidy Collins, a former soldier turned corrections officer at a dangerous prison, while Lukas Gage will play Jackson, a politician running for Congress. Drake Rodger will take on the role of Tommy, an inmate who has been incarcerated for ten years.
The Prison Break reboot will be produced by Elgin James, Dawn Olmstead, Marty Adelstein, Neal Moritz, and original creator Paul Scheuring. Specific plot details have not yet been revealed. The original Prison Break series, starring Dominic Purcel and Wentworth Miller, aired for four seasons from 2005 to 2009, followed by a TV movie titled The Final Break. In 2017, the series was revived for a fifth and final season.
