NBC has announced the upcoming hosts and musical guests for the next two episodes of Saturday Night Live. Comedian Shane Gillis will be hosting the episode on March 1, featuring Canadian pop sensation Tate McRae. The following week, on March 8, the multi-talented Lady Gaga will be both the host and musical guest.
McRae previously made her debut on Saturday Night Live in November 2023, where she performed “Greedy” and “Grave.” She will be showcasing songs from her latest studio album, So Close to What, which was released on February 21.
Lady Gaga is no stranger to the Saturday Night Live stage, as this will mark her fifth official appearance on the show. She last pulled off the double-duty of hosting and performing in November 2013, and her most recent performance was in October 2016. Her appearance in March will coincide with the release of her new album Mayhem, which is set to drop on March 7.
As Saturday Night Live celebrates its 50th season, which began in September 2024, the show recently aired two anniversary specials: SNL50: The Homecoming Concert and SNL50: The Anniversary Special. Lady Gaga was one of the many talented performers featured at the Homecoming Concert.
