The “Smurfs” franchise has seen three movies so far, with the latest being “Smurfs: The Lost Village” in 2017. However, Paramount Animation has decided to reboot the series once again with the new film simply titled “Smurfs.” Directed by Chris Miller and co-directed by Matt Landon, the movie features a star-studded cast including Rihanna, Nick Offerman, Natasha Lyonne, and more.
In this new installment, when Papa Smurf is kidnapped by evil wizards, Smurfette leads the team on a mission to save him in the real world. With the help of new friends, the Smurfs must discover their destiny to save the universe. The film is set to hit theaters on July 18 and will include a soundtrack featuring the song “Higher Love” by Desi Trill with DJ Khaled and Cardi B.
