Leaving Records, a Los Angeles-based record label, has launched a new compilation album called “Staying” to support artists affected by the recent California wildfires. The album features contributions from various artists such as Samantha Urbani, Eddie Chacon, and Andre 3000, among others. Curated by label founder Matthewdavid and compiled with the help of Carlos Niño, “Staying” is now available for digital download, with vinyl and cassette editions coming soon.
In an effort to provide direct assistance to individuals impacted by the wildfires, all proceeds from the album will be donated to those in need. Half of the funds will go to Los Angeles artists and music colleagues, while the other half will support displaced Black families and communities affected by the fires.
In addition to the “Staying” compilation, other initiatives have been launched to support wildfire relief efforts. Fundraisers for artists such as Diiv’s Zachary Cole Smith and rapper Fat Tony have been organized, and organizations like BeyGood and MusiCares have also made donations. A benefit concert featuring artists like Billie Eilish and Lady Gaga is scheduled for January 30.
Nicholas Pedroza, of Astro Nick and Bedridden, has organized a benefit compilation titled “2025 LA Fire Relief Comp” to support the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. The album features tracks from artists like They Are Gutting a Body of Water and Sleep Habits.
Support the wildfire relief efforts by purchasing the “Staying” compilation and “2025 LA Fire Relief Comp” album today.
