Nicki Minaj is facing a lawsuit for assault, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress by a former tour employee who claims she physically attacked him following a concert in Detroit in April 2023. The incident allegedly occurred backstage at the Little Caesars Arena during the Pink Friday 2 tour.
The lawsuit states that the employee, Brandon Garrett, was confronted by Minaj in her dressing room over having another tour employee pick up her prescriptions. The altercation escalated, with Minaj allegedly screaming and physically striking Garrett.
Garrett claims he was left fearful and traumatized after the altercation, staying in a restroom for hours and eventually filing a police report in Detroit. Minaj’s attorney has not responded to requests for comment on the matter.
