Hozier made a triumphant return to Saturday Night Live on the last pre-Christmas episode of 2024. The Irish musician performed two unforgettable songs, starting with “Too Sweet,” a track that former President Barack Obama recently hailed as one of his favorite songs of the year. Hozier then serenaded the audience with a rendition of the Pogues’ beloved holiday classic, “Fairytale of New York.”
This wasn’t the first time Hozier graced the SNL stage. He debuted on the show back in 2014, captivating the audience with performances of his breakout hit “Take Me to Church” and “Angel of Small Death and the Codeine Scene.” Hozier’s latest commercial success can be attributed to “Too Sweet,” a single from his Unheard EP released in March. The song soared to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 in April and was later included in the deluxe expansion of his third studio album, Unreal Unearth.
