Fans have been eagerly anticipating Krysten Ritter’s return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and recent comments suggest that Ritter is also game for a comeback.
During a recent interview with ComicBook to promote her role in the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Ritter was informed of remarks made by Marvel Studios’ Head of Streaming, Television, and Animation, Brad Winderbaum, at D23 Brazil. Winderbaum expressed his desire to see Jessica Jones return to the MCU if given the opportunity.
Ritter quickly expressed her enthusiasm for the idea, joking about Winderbaum being “the guy who makes the call” and stating that she would be ready and willing if the offer came her way.
“I’ll be ready,” Ritter quipped. “Come on, Brad! Let’s get it going. Let’s do it.”
This is not the first time Ritter has mentioned a potential return to the character. Two years ago, she shared her hope of reprising the role during an appearance on the podcast Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum.
The show “Jessica Jones” originally premiered on Netflix in 2015 as part of Netflix’s Marvel lineup, alongside Daredevil, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and The Defenders. While the Daredevil cast is set to return to the MCU next year in “Daredevil: Born Again,” fans are now hopeful for Jessica Jones’ return as well.
