France’s Newen Studios and free-to-air broadcaster TF1 Group have joined forces with Netflix to co-produce the streamer’s first-ever daily drama series for France. The series, titled Tout Pour La Lumière (All for Light), is a family series set in the world of music and dance. It will be available on Netflix five days before its broadcast on TF1 and TF1+’s VOD platform.
Newen will produce and co-finance the series, which is co-written by Coline Assous, Yentl Coubes, and Maxime Cormier. Filming will take place in La Ciotat and La Belle de Mai in Marseille. Newen Studios CEO Pierre Branco expressed excitement about the project, stating, “We are thrilled to bring our expertise in continuing drama to this unique partnership with TF1 and Netflix.”
TF1 Group’s Ara Aprikian highlighted the project as a way to reach a wider audience through innovative financing and distribution methods. Netflix France’s Pauline Dauvin also emphasized the commitment to viewer enjoyment and artistic creation in this collaboration.
