Former Bachelorette contestant James Taylor was arrested and subsequently launched this week on costs of assault and illegal restraint.
The fact star turned nation musician was arrested on Aug. 4 by the School Station Police Division in reference to warrants from the Bryan Police Division relating to costs for assault inflicting bodily harm and illegal restraint. Each pertained to an alleged incident on April 24. He was launched on the identical day on two $4,000 bonds, one for every cost.
Taylor had beforehand been detained in School Station for driving whereas intoxicated and unlawfully carrying a weapon costs in 2022, per Folks.
The fact TV alum instructed the outlet this week that there was “not so much as a scratch on me (as I showed to police via pictures of my whole body which was awkward to say the least)” following the alleged incident. “I’m a pretty big guy but I was trying to ‘unlawfully restrain’ a girl and she just … got away?… and walked right to her Uber right outside my house? With NO injuries? Trust me, if there were ANY injuries they’d be all over the internet.”
Although the small print of the incident weren’t made public, Taylor’s assertion talked about a daughter. “I don’t know the daughter’s name because we didn’t spend much time together but I feel like she wouldn’t want all this to have gotten here either if she could go back,” he stated. “And I don’t hate you either. I just wish I knew where you were coming from and where this came from.”
He added, “To people reading this: If you want fame, it never ends up like that. If you want money, it never ends up like that. If you want to ruin my life, it always ends up like that… keep it up. I would never hurt anybody. I’m nice to EVERY person I meet.”
Taylor competed on 2016’s season 12 of The Bachelorette led by JoJo Fletcher. Years later, present creator Mike Fleiss promounced him “officially exiled” from Bachelor Nation after Taylor, an outspoken advocate for Donald Trump, inspired his social media followers to attend the Jan. 6 insurrections. Taylor’s Instagram bio now contains the road, “exiled from bachelor nation.”
