AMC unveiled a new teaser clip for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, hinting at the titular lead’s journey as he battles to survive in a post-apocalyptic world. The upcoming television series hits AMC+ and AMC on September 10.
The newly released clip, titled “Daryl’s Journey,” shows Norman Reedus‘ character embarking on a new adventure in France. Though the teaser clip did not reveal any further details about the upcoming series, the character suggests that “a bunch of bad decisions” led to his arrival in the country.
Taking The Walking Dead Universe to France
Finding his way back home while establishing his path with redemption, the forthcoming spin-off in The Walking Dead franchise will see Daryl Dixon struggle “to piece together how he got [into the country] and why.”
“The series tracks his journey across a broken but resilient France as he hopes to find a way back home. As he makes the journey, though, the connections he forms along the way complicate his ultimate plan,” the official synopsis reads.
Besides Reedus reprising his role from the flagship The Walking Dead series, the spin-off also stars Clémence Poésy as Isabelle, a character described as a religious group member with a dark past. The rest of the cast includes Adam Nagaitis as Quinn, Anne Charrier as Genet, Eriq Ebouaney as Fallou, Laika Blanc Francard as Sylvie, Romain Levi as Codron, and French drag performer Paloma (Hugo Bardin), who will star as Coco.
A slew of spin-offs awaits long-time fans of the popular franchise. Apart from the Daryl Dixon-led series, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live will bring back fan-favorites Rick and Michonne sometime in 2024. But while the series does not have a release date yet, Reedus’ The Walking Dead character will be given a new lease on life when The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon premieres on AMC+ and AMC on September 10.
