The National Society of Film Critics broke down on its yearly film honors on Saturday, with critics assembling in New york city and Los Angeles to elect on the years best flicks and efficiencies.
The 58th yearly honors recognized a varied mix of tiny independent movies and significant workshop tasks. Celine Track’s directorial launching “Past Lives” won the leading reward, vanquishing heavyweight runners-up “Oppenheimer” and “The Zone of Interest” for the honor of Best Image.
Andrew Scott won Best Star for his efficiency in “All of Us Strangers,” while the Best Starlet reward was presented upon Sandra Hüller for her functions in both “Anatomy of a Fall” and “The Zone of Interest.” In one of the period’s most piled groups, Charles Melton took home Best Sustaining Star for “May December,” though Oscar faves Ryan Gosling and Robert Downey Jr. were both called runners-up.
Also the late Jean-Luc Godard had the ability to win a posthumous honor for Best Speculative Film for his last brief, “Trailer of a Film That Will Never Exist: Phony Wars.”
